What's Happening in West Perrine

Construction is moving steadily forward at Hibiscus Grove, a transformative residential development led by the West Perrine Community Redevelopment Agency to expand housing opportunities and support long-term community growth.

Originally announced at a groundbreaking ceremony in 2024, Hibiscus Grove is designed to deliver 270 new residential units to the West Perrine area. The development will include a mix of affordable and workforce housing, with 216 units reserved for households earning 60% or below the Area Median Income (AMI) and 54 units serving households earning up to 120% AMI. Community amenities will also be incorporated to enhance quality of life for future residents.

Recent aerial photos captured in January 2026 highlight significant construction progress. The building structure is now rising prominently along West Hibiscus Street, with vertical construction well underway and tower cranes actively supporting work across multiple levels. What was once an empty site is quickly transforming into a new residential community that will play a key role in stabilizing and strengthening the neighborhood.

Hibiscus Grove represents a major investment in housing stability, neighborhood revitalization, and economic opportunity in West Perrine. As construction continues, the project is becoming a visible symbol of the CRA’s commitment to creating lasting, positive change for residents.

The West Perrine CRA will continue to share updates as the development progresses.
