The West Perrine Community Redevelopment Agency is proud to announce that Hibiscus Grove has officially moved into the construction phase. The development site at 9948 West Hibiscus Street has been cleared and prepared for vertical construction following a full demolition of the existing property. This milestone marks a major step forward in delivering long-promised housing options to the West Perrine community.
Hibiscus Grove will be a 270-unit mixed-use affordable and workforce housing development, designed to meet the growing needs of residents and families seeking quality, attainable housing in Miami-Dade County.
The project will include:
- 216 rental units designated for households earning 60% of the area median income (AMI) or below
- 54 rental units reserved for households earning up to 120% of AMI
Beyond housing, the development is expected to serve as a catalyst for continued neighborhood revitalization, adding foot traffic, economic activity, and long-term investment to the corridor.

To commemorate this major milestone, the West Perrine CRA will host a Groundbreaking Celebration at the site:
