The West Perrine Community Redevelopment Agency is proud to announce that Hibiscus Grove has officially moved into the construction phase. The development site at 9948 West Hibiscus Street has been cleared and prepared for vertical construction following a full demolition of the existing property. This milestone marks a major step forward in delivering long-promised housing options to the West Perrine community.
Hibiscus Grove will be a mixed-use affordable and workforce housing development, designed to meet the growing needs of residents and families seeking quality, attainable housing in Miami-Dade County.
The project will include:
- 30 rental units for households with incomes at 30 percent of area median income (“AMI”) and below
- 195 rental units for households with incomes at 60 percent of AMI and below
- 45 rental units for households with incomes at 80 percent of AMI and below
Beyond housing, the development is expected to serve as a catalyst for continued neighborhood revitalization, adding foot traffic, economic activity, and long-term investment to the corridor.

To commemorate this major milestone, the West Perrine CRA will host a Groundbreaking Celebration at the site:
